We've come a long way, but we haven't really gotten past the idea we always had the cats are lesser creatures without clearly defined personal psychologies and interests. We think they need to learn to be more like us in their habits and values.
They don't think so.
In Understanding Cat Behavior, I've offered an alternative to what's standard. If we can edge just a little closer to the reality cats see, it'll be a happier day for all of us.
